I am just wondering when Bill c6 will be passed and if the residency requirements will change too.
Will going to your home country for 4 months to visit family will affect the status as a Canadian Citizen?

There are multiple threads already. Do we need another one? There are no residency requirements for Canadian citizenship, there is only a physical presence requirement that Bill C-6 would indeed change. But you can find all the details by looking through the existing threads.
