Hi all,
I am a PR of Canada. I wanted my family to visit me over this summer (to visit me and to visit many beautiful places in Canada) so my father applied for a visitor visa for him, my mother and my 2 younger sisters aged 20 and 18( both are students and wanted to visit me in university scheduled break with my parents). But they got a rejection. Well that’s not an major issue but the main issue is

“when they got the rejection letter it was addressed to my mother who is a homemaker and dependant in the application. My father was a main applicant and currently working in India and so he submitted all his documents (employment letter, NOC, property documents, bank statement and everything else stating his name).

So, my dad was the main applicant of the file and they received 4 letters attached to each of their passports with their name on the letter. So my dad, and 2 dependant sisters got the exact same letter with their individual names. ( and it was a very short letter containing 3-4 lines for each of them) and my mom got a big 6-7 page rejection letter stating her name but my mom was only a depnadant. My dad was a main applicant. How an they do such a big mistake??

I would truly and hearty appreciate if someone can help me figuring this out. Thank you in advance

Sorry to know your family was refused.

The visa officer has not made a big mistake in issuing a 6-7 pages refusal letter for your mom. Every application is assessed independently of the other applications for its individual and collective merits.

You may want to post the refusal reasons (checked boxes) for each applicant so it's easier to advise
