I have completed M.Com with 16 years. I have also completed an evening MBA program with 39 credits. It takes 2 years. My class was held 6 pm to 9 pm and twice a week. Should I consider my total year of study 17 years !

Yesterday I meet with a Canadian Immigration Lawyer who came to Dhaka to make a conference and I explain this matter and he told my MBA can be consider 1 year. So my total year of study is 17 years.

But some people told me as it was evening MBA and class held twice a week and you have M.Com degree it should not consider 1 years of Study.

I am in big confusion..............

If Immigration office consider it 17 years than I got this 25 Points and I can apply for immigration. If not I will get 22 points and I can not apply.

If I consider 17 years of study I have total 61 points and I need individuas IELTS 5.5 score if consider 16 years I need individual in two 6.5 and two 5.5

Please clarify ........ I will be greatful......

Same Level two Degree will not count.

Your Points will be 22.

Try to improve IELTS score

I suggest, take IELTS first and count your point and apply....

I hope, you will be able to score 67 or above.....

Good Luck

Still not clear about my first clarification........

Seniors plz get rid of me from this confusion.........

as far as i understand from the operations manual of CIC:

1. forget 2,3 or 4 years or morning or evening or 9 am to 9 pm for a degree.

always count if u r doing 15 hours a week. this means u have to complete 15 hours X 52 weeks= 780 hours tuition in a year. however, u can also add any training in the workplace which forms part of the course.

now in ur case u have done 6 hours a week for 2 years or for 104 weeks. so, total hours of tuition u have done is= 6 hours X 104 weeks= 624 hours

technically, u haven't even completed a 1 year full time equivalent study. . by doing the MBA u have only completed 8 months full time equivalent study.

so, ur total no. of years of full tiem/ full time equivalent study = 16 years + 8 months < 17 years. so, not eligible for 25 points.

2. regarding the M.Com & MBA, i personally believe (but not as sure as point 1), CHC will accept both. so, if u had 17 years study, u would get 25 points.

3. getting individual score of 6.5 in all sections of IELTS is doable. all u have to do is to buy some IELTS materials from Nilkhet, go through them everyday for only 4 hours for 1 month & then take IELTS; do not take the academic module, take the general training module. i am sure u will get more than 6.5 in all sections to get 16 points in Language ability. just have faith in urself.

hope it helps. GOOD LUCK & ALL THE BEST, my friend................
