Hi all,
I'm married to Canadian guy and after one month of marriage, We applied for online TRV( 9th may 2017) and it was refused due to :
-purpose of visit.
-Family ties in Canada
But they said nothing about security check or BGC
In 13th june we applied for spousal sponsorship and now We're waiting our file to be transferred to VO .
My question is that, dose TRV refusal affect the BGC of PR or its of benifit as the Vo already did it?

It is beneficial for the sponsorship process as it proves that you've tried to be together but can't because of immigration barriers (visitor visa being refused)

Yes, we did and mentioned the causes of refusal explained by the Visa officer's letter.

Its been 9 days since BGC started. Hoq long will it take? What comes next ? April applicant LVO

Could take anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months. The average is around 2 months. Mine has been in progress for more than 1 month.

So your BGC is still in progress? Mine was in progress for a month and change to started processing your Background check for 9 days already .
