1. What is the best way to send application - Regular Mail or Courier Address?
2. Is the application only through mail? or do we have any online portal too? (Layman question)

I think it is better to send it by courier with notification upon delivery

1. Definitely highly recommend using courier. Especially nowadays during the pandemic because AORs are delayed too beyond the usual 2 months after application was received, so if you use regular mail, you won't know if your application was received until you receive an AOR maybe 6 months later, or until you receive a returned application in case it was incomplete. So for peace of mind I definitely suggest using courier, it's worth the price difference. And Canada Post Xpresspost has been hit or miss recently, some packages took a week or 2 to deliver, so I also suggest either FedEx, UPS or another courier company. You can also choose to get a signature.
2. Citizenship applications are only accepted through mail. However, once you receive AOR, you can begin tracking progress online on the eservices (ECAS) platform.

Courier is preferred.

2. Is the application only through mail? or do we have any online portal too? (Layman question)

Only by mail / no online processing. We don't have online system yet. This is not Aussie/NZ.
