Hi guys

Can you guys list the top universities for each department listed below in Canada for MEng?

1. Aerospace (Aviation and Control)
2. Electrical and Computer Engineering (Control System)
3. Robotics and Control
4. Industrial Engineering

Is Ranking really a big deal in choosing Universities for MEng? I just wanted to get into a decent and not so expensive university in any of the above department.

Thanks all!

Ranking is a big deal if you plan to get an engineering job in Canada once you finish your studies. The universities with the best reputations are probably Waterloo and the University of Toronto.

Thank you Scylla :) Any chance of getting Ranking of Universities based on Course such as MEng ECE, Mechanical etc. ?

I'm not aware of such a ranking.

University of Toronto, British Columbia and Alberta are good.

For Mechanical, preferences should be as:
1.University of Toronto
2.University of Waterloo
3.McGill University
4.UBC
5.University of Victoria

Guys I have applied in Mcgill for winter 2016
Mechanical non-thesis
Btech-73%
2 year experience in thermal power plant
1 paper at international journal
6-7 projects in undergrad

What are my chances??

What is the minimum eligibility score in B.Eng for M.Eng admission in canada?

Hey !! Go have a look at Comprehensive Engineering Rankings in Wikipedia and decide .

For Mechanical point of view ,
1. UofWaterloo
2.UofToronto
3.Carleton University
4.UBC
5.UofVictoria

Waterloo is mostly preffered for courses relating to Environment and stuff . It has the best Environmental Engineering

Also have a look at co-op . Waterloo and Carleton have the best co-op programs .

Don't go to UofToronto , That place is a mess . You will be one within 60000 people studying there and the faculty don't care who you are.

Take this into consideration .

Thank you so much roohbir and Varun. I am considering Aerospace/Control Systems

But Carleton ranks somwhere in 20th rank in Canada. What do you think of Carleton University?

I am not trying for any Top Universities as they are very expensive.

Also where i can get the exact fee detail for the Universities? Every site shows different fee for the Universities. Also some Universities websites Fee details are also not so clear.
