Well, unfortunately, I missed the ability to use a 3rd party channeler (after paying for one while it was still acceptable, of course), the CIC updated their website at the wrong time.

I spotted the issue, and immediately requested a report directly from the FBI. My wife and I send in our spousal packet about 10 days later, with a letter explaining the lack of report, along with receipts and tracking information on the fingerprints to the FBI. (I even included a copy of the channeler's report, stating that is exactly what it was.. figured I had it, may as well mail it).

So, based on timings right now, it looks like the CIC will probably process our packet about 2 weeks before the FBI report gets to my hot little hands. That's fine.

The question is: I'll get that report, turn it around ASAP to the CIC - assuming that's our only hitch, what is a best guess on turnaround after delivery to the CIC?

Send it once you have a file number or uci number without either of those numbers, the likelyhood cic will be able to match the FBI clearance to your file is slim to none.

Almost the same situation happened with us except we noticed the day after we sent our application in the mail that they were no longer accepting channellers and received our FBI finger prints the next day. So the channeller set was included in our application with no note explaining why because we had no idea. We just received SA today with the address stating where to send things so we will be doing that this week!
