hey guys,
i studied at a post-secondary institution in Ontario from fall2011-spring2012 term.
then i left canada back for my home country for mandatory military service time.
now im almost done and planning to return to canada. i have been re-admitted back
into my institution.
my study permit is dated to be valid till the end of july 2015, im planning to re-enter
canada in march 2015 to start for the spring term.
the new study permit regulations states that all student must be actively pursuing studies,
or after 90 days your permit comes invalid. however, under notes it specifies that this rule
does not apply to student who have permits from pre-june 1st 2014.
my question is that, ive been absent from the country for so long, but my permit date is not due yet.
can i return to canada and pursue my studies starting in spring 2015 without applying for a new permit?
Thanks so much for your time!
