Been a month but no answer yet - LMIA

Wanted to ask a question about my friend. He applied for LMIA(through fax) for the second time after facing rejection on the first one. But he didn't receive any phone call or anything yet and its been a month. LMIA was applied for PR purposes only.

LMIAs can take over four months to process. So there's nothing unusual about your processing time and nothing you can do but wait.

But I've heard that thry call and tell the decision within 10 days of applying. My friend received a call for his last application within 10 days where they told him straight forward that his app was rejected.

No - they don't give everyone a decision within 10 days. Some people are lucky and get a decision within weeks. Some people don't hear anything for months. Again, what you're experiencing is perfectly normal and there's nothing you can do but wait.

How did your friend apply for LMIA? Only an employer can apply for LMIA, a potential employee has no rights to apply for LMIA.
