Been 5 months and IRCC said they haven't opened my OWP application yet, WHY?

Having a nightmare trying to figure out why my husband hasn't gotten his OWP after we sent application with the PR application in early November 2019. Never been able to link online. Never got it sent back nor have we heard ANYTHING about it. Keep ringing and sending webforms asking for status and keep getting different answers. He met all of the requirements for the OWP pilot initiative in order to get OWP within 4-5 months as almost everyone has gotten on the spreadsheet.

Today I got a response saying that they haven't opened up the application yet nor have they started a file for his application!

Why, after 5 months, have they not even looked at his application????

When he applied he was well within his visitors status, but that expired last month so I assumed he was on implied status as he had an open work permit in. Does implied status start when application is sent or when they open a file and start processing?

So i'm worried in two ways: 1. Why have they not even opened the application? 2. When they go to open the application how will they determine his status?

Hmmmmmmm same here I submitted my application on 1st November 2019 till now we have even gotten AOR and they keep telling us they haven't open my application and it's not in their system. It's very worrisome and frustrating.

Yup, not even AOR for us either, but we have been able to link our PR app online so even though we didn't get an official AOR message, we can see that our PR app in process. But no linking our OWP because there's no app # because they haven't even looked at it yet!!!!! Why????!!!!

I've contact our local MP and they are going to look into the status for us. I suggest you do the same as there's nothing we can do on our end unfortunately.

Yes dear we have also contacted our local MP for the past 4weeks and they wrote to MPs office for a detailed information about our application so they said we should give them some time.
Honestly it's very frustrating. I don't know what else to do am so exhausted and stressed up.
