I am sponsoring my common law partner and just need a few tips and tricks regarding the application. I've tried buzzing the embassy and the government of canada contact over the past couple weeks but havent able to get a hold of anyone so really hoping that you guys could help me out here
I seem to be struggling to provide proof that we have been in a marriage-like relationship for a year. We met on October 6th through Airbnb and we started dating December 19 and have moved together since (once we apply in late Jan/early Feb it will be one year of us cohabitating in marriage relationship) I have evidence of when we started dating and moving in together through social media and messages + as well as the Airbnb receipts of when I moved in + airbnb cancellation receipt for when we moved in together (we finished my "lease" 2 months early in Jan for when we were officially living together. However, I cannot provide evidence of us being financially supportive of each other because I wasn't able to get an Irish bank account or any official Irish documents until Feburary. Do you think the messages will suffice as enough evidence of HOW LONG we've been cohabitating for? I have very strong evidence of us living together and being financially supportive but in terms of proving its been a year, it will be difficult.
