Hi Friends,

This question is for the people who sent their file first to the CIC and then to the visa office.
My question is ,are we suppose to send bank statements to the Visa office also.I know I did submit to CIC,I did provide my bank statements and now after visa office processing they have asked for it.Is is that I should have sent my statements to the visa office also.
Basically ,as per the rules, Am I suppose to send my bank statements to the visa office along with the complete application or not?

Thanks,
Tricj

hello,
well they dont usually ask....but dont worry bout it...just submit it if they have asked for it again.

Leo,

Thanks for your help.I will submit. However,I am curious to know whether we submit bank statement to the visa office along with the application.I remember I submit my bank statement to the CIC with my application But i Don't think that I submitted to the Visa Office.

can somebody tell me the rule here as per CIC? Was I suppose to submit to the visa office as well. That way I wil know that i missed some step in my aplication.

Thanks,

well actually in my case the nova scotia office transferred my file itself to my corresponding VISA office...i guess ur application method is different from mine...but if they have asked for a bank statment...it means its all they need cz otherwise if nething else was missing...wldnt they hv returned u ur application...can u give some more information like when hv u applied nd under wht category?

Hi

I applied in Jan 2010 and under FW1.Under this categorey I sent my documents to Nova scotia and they transferrd my file to visa office and then I had to send another set of documents to visa office not sure why.But as per the instrcutions I did that .With the second set of documents I did not suppply any bank statement but with the first set of documents I did submit my bank statements.

So I am wondering why they are asking again.Did I miss something?.My case is bit different becaseu initially they refused my file and then I did not bother much and I needed money for my personal use ,I took that money out of the account and started using it but then I checked my documents again and realized that it's a visa office mistake and they also realized their mistake and opened my file. Now they are asking for bank funds. Is it not so frustrating and irritating when somebody has been holding those funds for 2 years and that funds has been reduced.

Thanks,

well trick nova scotia office review our doucments...when our files are transferred to VISA office...then again our documents are reviewed...its even likely tht if NS office has approved them VO can still reject the case...so submitting a bank statment to VO is a must..
i hv heard tht the statment shd be old for 3 months...but in my case it wasnt 3 months old...just take some additional information on it nd submit it by depositing the required funds.

Thanks Leo,
So It was a mistake on my part that I did not submit my bank statement to the visa office around two years ago so now they want to see how much money I have in my account.

Thanks ,
