Hi all,

which documents should I request from my bank (TD) as proof that I was present in Canada in part of my citizenship application? What exactly should I request for? Paper statements, credit history???

Also, I heard that banks will only give you the last 6 months for free and would charge you an amount prior that. Is that rue?

I'm a PR since 2010 and am prepare ing to apply for citizenship next month.

Thanks for any comments.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1. Bank statements are not required with the application.

2. Some people include them in the belief they will avoid an RQ. CIC tend to place limited value in these documents as proof of physical presence unless if supplementary/ in a matrix of additional data e.g. to collaborate direct deposits for a full time in Canada job. You can have bank and credit card transactions without being physically present in Canada e.g a joint account or those who carry out residency fraud by giving their cards to family/ friends.
