Generally, one should send bank balance certificate with three months' bank statement.

You don't need to send statements for 3 months, but your funds should be in that same bank for at least 3 months so that CIC is convinced your funds are for real.

Hi Folks,

Depending on where you're applying to - Buffalo has updated its visa-office specific guidelines, specifically regarding proof of funds.

"Provide:

• original letter(s) from your bank(s) and/or other financial institution(s) confirming
the type(s) and current balance(s) of the account(s) you hold

• copies of monthly bank statements showing deposits and withdrawals for the 6
months prior to the submission of you application"
