Dear All,

Since February, the applicant and the sponsor have been staying in India for medical purposes. We want to submit our application in the next few days. We are planning to stay in India till October or November. My first question is, which address should we use in our outland spousal sponsorship application, our current address in India, or our address in Africa, considering that we might stay in India till the end of the year?

On the other hand, how can we prove our intent to move to Canada once the application is approved? We have the following:
1. My Wife's bank account statement in a Canadian bank, with enough funds for our first six months.
2. My Wife filed her tax return for 2022 and 2021 while staying abroad, and she has her notice of assessment.

Are the above two enough to prove our intent to move to Canada?

Finally, since my wife cannot get a signed and stamped statement from the bank, is it enough if she downloads last month's bank statement from the online banking portal as PDF? The online banking portal gives us the bank statement for last month only. Is that fine, or should we submit a three-month bank statement?

Use the address where you are living when you apply. If you move you should update IRCC. Is the sponsor a CDN Citizen, a PR can not sponsor if they are not living in Canada?

Thanks for the feedback, yes she is a Canadian citizen.

What about the other two questions?

Unfortunately you will need more than that. You need to prove that you intend to move to Canada very shortly after getting PR.
Should have documentation of searching for jobs(make an account with a job bank) and housing( contact a real estate agent with inquiries, keep those emails to include) where you intend to settle, doesn't have to be job offers. Not realistic to accept a job when normal processing time right now is 14 months or 24 if going to Quebec. Get a quote from a shipping company to send stuff to Canada.
A plan of where you will initially stay when you get here, possibly relatives, and having them provide a letter to that effect.
Other ties your wife has in Canada, drivers license, credit cards, other investments, a couple of months bank statement preferable but not crucial, printed from on-line account is fine.

While what I have mentioned is really all just a plan it will show the intent of actually planning to come here. The more info you can provide the better, it will prevent them going back to you asking for more info which can delay the processing.

Do you plan to move as soon as you get PR? How does Africa come into the picture?
