Hi friends,

I opened a bank account 3.5 moths ago before receiving ITA and deposited $30000. Should I be concerned regarding my bank account as it is less than six months old.

That is not the concern...CIC's concern will be the source of $30000. You will need to explain the validity of that source and a confirmation that it's not borrowed.

Since it is your account and it has sufficient funds, there is no cause for concern. May I ask how you deposited the amount, was it transferred from any of your other bank account? The reason why I am asking is, in case the Case Officer feels that you have taken a loan to show the proof of funds, you might have to produce evidence for the same.

My dad had all my money before I leave my country. In my last trip to my country I asked him to return the money to my account. How should I prove it?

By a notarized gift deed made by him, stating this money need not be returned.

You need a notarized gift deed from him. That is basically an affidavit stating that the money is his, but that he has gifted it to you, and that he does not expect you to ever return the money to him, it is for you to use as you wish.
