not required... not sure if it's allowed on canadian drafts...

Don't do that Pankaj because we do not know if it's allowed in Canada.

However in India no one minds but don't risk yourself with CIO.

No, they don't ask for that. However, here in canada when i made my money order, there was a space on the front side to write my name and other space for the signature so it was a part of the money order to be vaild for use ( so no need to write anything at the back) but i don't know about the system in your country for such a situation.

I have made this Bank Draft in Singapore. There is no space on the draft to write your name etc, I just asked incase anybody know its required or not, else it it not mentioned anywhere in the guidelines.

Thanks Guys for your answers.

Be careful not to write anything at the back side of the money order because when i asked my bank today for a proof of cashing my money order by the CIO, they gave me a copy of the front and the back sides of my money order and the back side was stamped with the following :
((The Reciever General for Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Department , the date of cashing the money and some small numbers around the stamp )) , so they might need the back side empty for that purpose.
