Hi all,
The Schedule 3 of Economic classes form asks for assets, liabilities and settlement fund in Canadian $. But my bank says the Bank Certificate is system generated and it can only show the US$ equivalent balance summary.

What shall I do?

Convert and whatever comes in CAD $, put it, cheers

Do you mean I can simply convert and put it in the form and leave the Bank letter as it is i.e in US$?

attach the same letter in US$
convert the value to CAD and fill in the form the same (in the form you write converted value in CAD based upon current conversion rate)

If the bank can't indicate the Canadian equivalent in the letter maybe they can at least indicate what is the USD:CAD exchange rate on the date the letter was written.

Or maybe you could attach a cover letter to the bank statement letter indicating what the USD:CAD exchange rate was on the date the letter was written.

Or, since currency stated in the letter is USD, it's possible you don't need to write what the equivalent CAD is. CIC officier (for the purposes of immigration) will probably just assume 1USD ~ 1CAD. The reason I say this, is that the CIC officer is likely already familiar with the USD:CAD exchange rate.

If however, the currency of the letter was currency that CIC isn't really familiar with then you would certainly need to specify the UNFAMILIAR_CURRENCY:CAD exchange rate.

Thanks all.

I will again ask my bank if they can state my balance in CAD. Else I will simply convert and fill it in the form and may be write a cover letter to CIC.
