You will need to show proof of from where the funds came into this account. Audit trail.

Does the bank account have to be on my name? Or can I show funds from a family member account? Like my father's? And state that they will be providing funds?

It has to be your account.

Then I'm not sure if you can take from your MIL. May be it is possible but I'm not certain. So I'll let someone who knows for sure comment.
