BANK ACCOUNT : JOINT ACCOUNT will it help in Proof of funds ??

Hi There,

I am facing a problem.

I recieved e-mail requesting for latest proof of funds.
At present i am in India but I have a joint account with my friend in canada.

So in order to get the proof of funds I need a bank statement.
Bank guys says that they can give the statement only with joint account.
In that case will this be Okie ??

Do they accept it ?
Shall I state them the reason saying that as i have to come back to india, ,,,i had a joint account with my frnd ..etc
will that help??

Joint account with your friend will not work as POF

A joint account with common law partner/Spouse will work, if he/she is part of your application. No other joint account works.

You may craete a FD in your name and send a copy of FD certtificate to CHC

yes kartik, ankit is right. pof with a friend will not work at all. it will be better if u make an fix deposit and that too atleast for 6 months period. more older the fd is, the more good it is. since ur fd will be very current, so atleast fix it for atleast 6 months. also dont try to put instant cash in your account and get a statement. best is fd
