Background Declaration - Education

I am little confused regarding the EDUCATION section of "Background Declaration' form
Can Anyone help me as to how Indian education system is categorized amongst Primary/secondary/university.. in context of number of years.
As I understand it should be 5 yrs of primary, 7yrs of secondary , 3 yrs of university. Looking forward to hear from those who have already sent in their application to CIC.
Any inputs on this will be highly appreciated.

The Primary education is 8 years and secondary is 4 in India
