Dear all,
I would like to request you all that I have recieved informtion from my processing office that the file is waiting for background check. It is nearly 3 year that I have applied. does any one know about the background check? and how long it may take more to hear about the final decision? waiting for your response.

Hi it seems that you applied under the old system. Well BC does not take more than 1 - 2 months but since its under old system they usually have a different stly of processing the case. But as per the recent update CIC has pushed for the speed up of old cases as well.

There a actually 3 background checks, criminality (depending on the conviction he may require rehabilitation) security done by CSIS to determine if he is considered a security threat and in some cases (mostly skilled worker applications) they will check with the employer and or schools. No credit checks.

Where ever you have stayed for more than 6 months
 
how CIC know that u have to stay more then 6 months, if u dont show in the form then how they know, any idea

if u dont than ur passports will as they hv entry nd exit stamps. My two cents, dnt ever thinking of hiding ur stay in other countries as this can b taken seriously by vo

Officially UK, Aus, USA & Canada share data and do not hide any information as they have means to do a background check.

First of all u have not mentioned overall situation, but why not you re-apply under new system if your old application is not gone through medical etc.
 
what is the meaning of data sharing between usa, canada, aus and uk. this has data shared after 9/11 or before
and how long thay have stored data
