Background check. Please help

Hello all. Here’s a lil background of my Permanent Residence application through Manitoba PNP.

Sent: September 2017
AOR: October 2017

Nothing after that.

Now I did a random checking of my account and it says “We are conducting your background check. Blah blah”

I was surprised they never asked me for my medicals. Though it still says “You don’t need a medical. We’ll let you know blah blah”.
My question is “Have there been cases of background check being conducted BEFORE the medicals?”

And if yes can I expect my approval soon?(too unreal and optimistic I know :P)

Hoping to get the expert opinion

Where is your local visa office? are you paperbased, mine is same AOR October 3/2017; but BGC not started yet, others is same for all

I m not expert but like to comment on that, firstly can u write the proper line of background status, because I have also a status change in my gckey " we are reviewing your additional docoments you provided " even I m submitted nothing

Like LVO and some other VOs conduct BG check before medical.

Hi,

Logging back to CIC’s account is a pain :P As far as I remember, “We are conducting your background check. We will let you know if we require additional information”

I am pretty sure it was those exact words.
 
same here. I am also 2015 applicant. BGC still in progress. How long it will take to reach a final decision?

file receive it febrary 14, 2018 and i pass the medical on july 2018 then from that time my statut stuck it on ( checking your background ) till now almsot 8 months and no news its realy unfair ........... they r realy very slow ... :(
