at the time of background check,what kind of questions VO ask employer?
VO calls employer for each applicant/ application?

they call your emplyer very rearely, they just google it and get employer information.

Kind of worries me. My old employer is not around anymore, including their website. The parent company exists and is pretty "healthy" and would provide all the details if they get a call since they signed the reference letter. I did list the HR/Management contact details so I hope they get a call.

You can be in trouble if there is no information about your old employer anywhere online. Atleast there should be a website or something.

There's Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and some corporate profiler websites, but the official website was not renewed and somebody grabbed it.
