Bachelor degree is valid for pr

I did Bachelor Of Computer Application (BCA) in regular 3years course from V.n.s.g.u. university of south Gujarat. And I am planning to Canada pr, but some of my friends told that Distance Education will not get any points, Is it True?
If anyone has gone through with same query kindly help me.
