please let me know whether can i do a black & white copy rather than color while submitting the scanned copies in MYCIC.

certainly you can do it not an issue unless it is visible and your photo is visible too....

but the best way is to use camscanner scanner pro application in your phone if you have a smartphone and then take clear pictures in that app and crop it to suitable value until you have just your document in that photo and then save and send it to your email. You can also scan multiple photos and make a pdf using this app. I used this app for uploading all my docs.... And its bright and clear.
