Hey Guys. Me and my wife applied PR and with AOR on April 21.
Our application was stuck due to Biometrics. She has given her biometrics past weekend and I am supposed to give it on coming Friday. We have received our BOWP. We have crossed the important stages of application with only my biometric pending before we get COPR which we estimate might come by November end. However PR card is still a long story from there.
We were planning to get TRV on basis of BOWP and make trip to India in December end however we were advised by our lawyer that shall the PR Card come in our absence, we will either have to get it couriered to India as we cannot use our TRV for returning to Canada.
Kindly advice the best route forward. Can we apply PRTD (Permanent Resident Travel Document) while in Canada after we get COPR and take that along with to India for our 2 month trip or can it only be applied from there ? Your inputs would be of great help.
