According to the website, it is 7 working days. But how accurate is that?
Please share your timeline.

*if any similar thread had been posted, it would be kind of you to post the link*

THANK YOU!

Where did you see the information indicating 7 days?

go to the London website.

click visas & immigration on the left side menu.
once there, check quick links below. one of the option is processing time

if the IO is satisfied with all the documents you have submitted, I guess the 7 days is reliable.

But it seems that this is not the case all the time.

Thanks. I am having a similar issue. My VO timeline is 20 business days and I am now at 24 days. I've emailed via the CIC online form and also sent an email directly to the VO. No response yet. The application is for my second TRV, i expected it to be pretty straight forward. I guess they are literally just ball park figures.

Have you received the request for biometrics? I received it an hour late after submitting my application online!!. Would they not review my application until they receive my biometrics? Have they changed the procedure now?

Has any experienced the same? I have applied in the UK and have been asked to go to London. the thing that confuses me is that there is no date or appointment time. Should I just go there as soon as possible? Please help

What is your country of citizenship?

Luckily my country is not listed on having the biometrics. So I will be skipping that part. It will be too complicated in my part if I'm being requested to fly to London just for this biometric thing.

Im sorry I can't answer your question. Keep on reading the threads and you will find some answers. It worked with me.

I am from Pakistan

You will need to go into the VAC, i don't believe that you need an appointment but have a look at the link below. It covers all the information, they also suggest contacting your VAC if you have questions:

cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

Thanks buddy! I have been there before to get my Schengen visa. Its weird that there is no appointment time or date in the letter.

I received my passport request today. The CIC site said 43 days and it has been 37 days. The VO specific website said 20 business days so i think that you have to work on the processing times stated on the CIC website for the specific VO's.
