A question I'd like to ask, after visiting the VFS office for biometrics, how long does it usually take until one recieves a passport submission letter? I have currently been waiting for 4 days, with the biometrics operator's only estimation being "at the quickest within 24 hours".

I ask this because the date I have requested for entry on my visa is the 15th of May. While I'm at it, if my visa does get accepted, will it be accepted for the date I originally stated, even if the process takes longer, or will it be pushed to a later date? Thank you.

You're cutting it close for the 15th....It might go though yes. However not in time for the 15th. Unless you get some info today about picking up a passport tomorrow.

What country are you applying for? Very few countries have a processing time of 24 hours. Your passport has to physically move, and even that's not done immediately - VFS couriers them at the end of the day.
