Hi All,
My husband and I (him Canadian, myself American) submitted our outland sponsorship application end of May 2013... We have a very straightforward application, no dependents, basically there aren't any big discrepancies that should be noted on our application. We're sneaking up to the 7th month mark and although the Ottawa site says an average of 15 months, I've been optimistically hearing from fellow applicants that it goes a bit faster than that (with the above type of application)... Any insight from others hearing the same thing? Miss my husband like crazy and am ready to get back to Canada, but I'm not going without being able to work this time around!
Thanks ahead of time.

Based on what I've been reading here - it seems many are getting through at around the 10 month mark. I'm sure others will comment with their thoughts.

sent my application in less than 3 months ago, and now they have my passport so guesstimating 1-2 more weeks. Depends mostly on your local VISA office i think. We sent the original Sponsor/PR package to Mississauga and only 2 weeks later it was with the local VISA office here.

When I was sponsoring my wife from the US, the times were from 7-9 months. 7 being very fast and I'd say 8 being the norm for a good application. It sounds like the times increased a bit recently but still under 10 months.
