Hi All,

FUNDS TO SHOW IN THE AIRPORT

Does any one know when one arrive under the FSW the money/travellers cheques/draft got to be more than they mentioned or the one can take little bit less.

For example, if they mentioned $25,000.00 CAD for a family of four, can we take $22,000.00.instead?

Do you think this will lead to a deportation?

In few cases I/o at Port of entry do not ask for funds, but on many ocassion he/she asks. There can be slight plus or minus, but not huge.

It depends on the Officer at Port of Entry.

Generally it is acceptable, but do not take risk.

Does anyone know that one can carry GB Pounds or US Dollars instead of Canadian Dollars they mentioned.

Yes you can carry any other currency but must report to immigration officer at landing time. you can check this link
