Hi all,
We are applying with an outland application.
All the documents that we are submitting are documents issued by foreign institutions (for example: police certificate, birth certificate etc.) Even if it seems clear that we need to make a certified true copy, translate them and have an affidavit from the translator, there is no mention in the guide about the authentication process. While some might say that means you do not need to go through the process of authenticating documents, it is clear from the official Canadian Embassy site (Authentication Process Canadian Embassy) that for foreign documents to be recognized, they must be authenticated.
That's why we were wondering what process everyone on the forum has followed. Did you pass through the embassy to authenticate?
