Hello the the forum.

wow this is just what I have been looking for as I have been getting a lot of different information from different sources. Excellent :)

I am 59 Aust and my wife of nearly 6 yrs in a Canadian citizen.

I have Associate diplomas in both Mech Eng and Structural Eng and 42 yrs continuous experience in the steel industry in maintence, engineering and plant support fields.

Would my best option be to to the spousal sponsorship or the express entry

Thankyou so much for you anticipated responces ;D

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I can tell you that an Outland spousal sponsorship application will take ~ 6-8 months (on average). You can see what recent applicants are discussing, here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-applications-through-sydney-australia-office-t46958.2235.html

Also, unlike EE, there is no cap on the number of applications per year. The total cost for a sponsorship application is $1040 (CAD) plus the cost of the medical exam, police check and PR photos.

Good luck!

thanks Conga.

So I assume the EE takes longer than that and therefore the family sponsorship will be the quickest.

Age likely to be a factor against EE so I would have thought spousal sponsorship best option.
