Background checking shows it is not applicable on GCkey; it has been more than a month. I am worried. Does anyone know why it is like that?

Thank you.

Hi everyone, Could anyone please let me know the processing time of background check after medical passed. It's been more than 4 months since medical passed in our case. Now, this procedure only left me with anxiety, this waiting period is so frustrating nowadays. Our timeline so far :-
Application submitted - Aug 02, 2023
AOR- Oct 17,2023
Sponsor approval - Oct 24,2023
Biometrics - Nov 22,2023
Medical - Nov 23, 2023
Medical passed- Dec 04,2023
Eligibility completed- Feb 12 ,2024
Background check - Still in processing..
Also, no pre-arrival letter we receive yet. Is it normal if we haven't receive pre-arrival letter though???

I'd imagine the length of time for a background check would very much be on a case-by-case basis, some applicants may have more complicated factors than others and it also depends on the speed of the office processing it in the home country.

Also I wouldn't have thought you'd receive a pre-arrival letter until the background check is complete. Did you note the date on the applicant's IRCC file when the background check was ORIGINALLY initiated (ie, the date you saw it marked as "in progress")?
