When attaching additional pieces of paper is it necessary to have the person sign them aswell?

If you mean supplementary evidence, or answers to questions that won't fit in the box, i just made sure the paper had the applicant's (or sponsors) name for that particular part of the application, along with the IMM form number that it was referring to and the question number.

I did too, except -- anticipating that the papers might get jumbled -- I numbered them consecutively once the entire Application had been assembled, then added a Table of Contents with documents and page numbers listed.

The theory is that Murphy's law applies, and that the simpler you can make it for the Visa Officer to find things, the smoother will be your approval!!
