Hello

When attaching sheets when there is not enough space to fill in answers, I wrote the following on the top:

Name of Applicant or Sponsor
Date of birth of Applicant or Sponsor
Form Name IMMXXXXX - Form title
Page x of x

But does the applicant or sponsor also have to sign and data each page or is it not necessary?

It's not necessary.

No, I don't think it's required, but we did... it only took about 30 seconds, and figured it certainly wouldn't hurt.

But it isn't necessary thought, right? Like if you don't, they won't send the application back, right? I'm printing them here for my wife so I don't want to post it to her and then wait another two weeks to get them back. That's why I'm asking. Thanks!

Correct, it is not necessary and your application will not be returned.

I/m putting a footer and a header on all of my separate sheets (name on top/page number on bottom) and putting the IMM Form Name and Number + Section Number. It will certainly help the VO.
