At what point should we give up on waiting and re-apply ?

Depending on the country you are applying from.. y ou can reapply if no word in say 6 months.. people from India did that

However there is no guarantee of an outcome on the application. Sometimes old file gets withdrawn and new one gets into another infinite loop. Or in some cases new one gets approved. More than the merit of your supporting documents, things are riding on sheer luck lately - saying this from personal exp with multiple vv applications
