You have to show your life was at risk. No there is no need to provide general pictures of people dying in war. Joy things related to you. The member listening to your asylum claim will be aware of what happens in war.

Posting for friend, He applied for refugee claimant and feel like it's waste of time waiting here since he do not have any evidence for his cliament. Waiting about 2 years no hearing date yet.

He decided to withdraw application and leave to home country since his family is back home, he is concerned about them. His family is facing some difficulties and threats now and than.

He is ready to risk his life and leave to home country. Someone please suggest what's time line to withdraw claiment. within how many days he will get passport back after fax withdrawal form to cic.?

He will have to coordinate with CBSA. If he has a flight booked they will try to accommodate. They meet you at the airport to give you back your passport and ensure you leave Canada. Would book a flight in 2 weeks or longer to give yourself enough time. It is easy contact IRB and your lawyer to inform them that you are withdrawing your claim. Getting your passport isn’t dependent on acknowledgement that your claim has been withdrawn.
