Assuming Nigeria is your home country, the first thing you have to do is move out of Nigeria to a different country. Once you have moved to that different country, you must be officially recognized as a refugee by UNHCR. You must then be selected for resettlement to Canada by UNHCR. Note that you do not get to chose where you are resettled, UNHCR will make this decision.

The other options is to obtain a TRV (tourist visa) to Canada, fly to Canada and then claim asylum on arrival. However it can be very difficult to obtain a TRV.

UNHCR only resettles a fraction of the people who want resettlement so you can also remain a refugee in a 3rd country.
