Asylum seekers crossing from USA to CANADA

I open this thread to discuss about people from USA seeking refugee here in Canada. I'm just wondering, how come they can easy get here in Canada. Yet when I applied my immigration Status in here, it took me years of waiting and cost me a lot of money just to pay all of the expected due once arriving here. How is this possible?

Check that asylum and refugees sections of the forum. I think there's a law that you should've applied for asylum in the USA first (Safe third country agreement)
