Please clarify:

My spouse (wife) is in Canada, employed on a Long Term Work Permit. I need to join my wife as dependant.

My question and i would like to know the following:

Process involved in applying the dependent visa - spouse &
I wanted to use my professional skill set or to work, till the time of her Work Permit validity. Is it possible? If YES or NO, why?

1. I assume you require a TRV to enter Canada (visitor visa)
2. You have to apply for the TRV and you can apply for a spousal open work permit at the same time, IF your spouse is working in a job in NOC A, B or O. If she is not, then a SOWP will NOT be issued.
3. You are going to have proof of the marriage, your wife's work permit, your situation in your home country, including employment. The requirements are include in the instructions for the application on the web site of the office where you will apply.
