hi everyone.
I mailed my common in law application to CIC 1week ago.
I really regret that my spouse (born in canada )and I didn't write a letter how can he supported me and himself.
Now,he is no income and unemployed. Also, before he just left a college, he took out a student loan till last year.
He and I saw a question of IMM5481, your current situation, he checked a)unempoyed and "the give detaills of your current situation and indicate how your support yourself" the qusetion answered
"I've been looking for job since I left college and support myself with savings" and we just mailed it without saving account document.

But a friend of mine said "how did he and I do that like dumb people?" she said "HE and I was suppose to write a letter how to support to me, make a plane, etc"

and then I was searching my spouse income's problem but some people said income isn't important but a spouse needs to write a letter like a job plan.

He and I thought we were fine cause we had lots of proof evidence that was pics, same account, same billing etc.

I mailed already our application.

What should I do? just waiting till reject. ???

I'm really stupid ..

First of all...you are NOT really stupid!

You can considering one of the following options:

1. Contact CIC and cancel the application. They will return it to you and you can add the proper explanation in writing and then re-submit it again. This is probably NOT the best option, but it is an option.

2. Wait until you have your AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) which will give you your file number, along with your UCI numbers (one for each of you). When you have that information, send them whatever you need to send to help them understand what your plan really is. They can match this with your file (hopefully) so that the visa officer that finally does start reviewing your file can have this `new' information.

3. Sit back and hope for a more experienced member to offer their opinion (probably your BEST option). :D

Good luck...and again, you're not stupid.

This.
A sponsor does not actually need a job or an income to sponsor a spouse, so he will probably be found eligible to sponsor in any case. Once you know that he has been approved as your sponsor and your file has been transferred to the visa office, you can send in additional information. By that time he will probably have a job, so provide proof of that. If not, provide a letter outlining your plans for when you arrive in Canada: how you will support yourselves (proof of a job search for him, proof of qualifications, proof of any savings), where you will live (a letter from a family member offering to let you stay with them while you look for a job is good), etc. This plan for your arrival and support in Canada is a good thing to add to the application even if the sponsor does have a job, but it is not necessary.

Thank you so much replies so fast..haha

thank you, Ponga and canadianwoman

Ponga means I can send the letter how to support me and make a plan. sound so nice. If it is possible, of course, I will.

and canadianwoman

I'm in Canada and I've lived with my spouse:)
So you mean my spouse dont need to write a letter ?

Don't worry friend.
Your sponsor do not have to have any income in order to sponsor you.
The only case it is important is when you have kids which is a different story.
Your sponsor already signed that he/she will take care of you for three years so they are off the hook there :)

In that case a letter about his job (once he gets one) will be enough, probably.

you mean when my spouse gets a job that time, send a letter?
Actually, I don't need to send a letter that explains how to he supports me as finance.
Thank you very much.

Actually, I'm really worried about 1 step ( Assessment of sponsor and person being sponsored) .
My spouse doesn't have a job now and took out a student loan over about 4,000 CAD. :(

If you are so worried, why not write the letter detailing how you will support yourselves and mail it? Be sure to write your names, birth dates, client ID #(if you have it) and ask that they kindly attach it to your first package which was received on "write date received". Once your partner is approved to sponsor you, he can send a case specific inquiry to the visa officer asking if your 2nd package was attached to the first one or he can order his GCMS notes.

He and I didn't know that we needed to write the letter detailing how he would support me before my friend said that..
It's my fault and I was too dumb :(

It's ok, you are not dumb. At least it wasn't a document on the checklist, right? It will be ok.
