Hi,

I have an ITA under FSW.

I have a question. I worked from 2010 to 2013. My supervisor has been promoted to a senior rank by now. And he only has his business card for his current rank and not for the one when he supervised me. So in the reference letter, should he write only his current designation and attach his current business card or should he explain in the reference letter that he was at different designation when he supervised me etc etc??? Won't such explanations make things complex? Please guide

Thanks!

They need to explicitly mention their designation at the time you worked together. In this case, mention their designation as it used to be in 2013. Their business card isn't mandatory - just get their contact details and mail id mentioned in the letter.

I had to go through the same situation. It's all about the wordings you chose in the reference letter. This is what I had put as an example " I was working as an _________ for the duration of _________ under the supervision of Mr manager(name) who was ________(Title) at the time from _____ till ________. My roles and responsibilities at the time were ____________. "

TIP** Any documentation you provide make sure the CIC ppl should be easily able to backtrack the info without having to go through too much trouble and scratching their heads, and this is what I feel is the #1 reason according to me for delays and rejections IMO... :)
