Hello, I just have a quick question:
I am a Lithuanian national applying to study in Canada.
I have gotten a Port of Entry letter for the Canadian Study Permit and they have created me an eTA that's approved as well for entry.
I am planning to live with my friend as she rents an apartment from a certain landlord.

Does my name need to be on the lease as a proof that I live there or should I be good just providing the address if I get asked by the border officer?
(There is a very specific reason why we would rather not add my name to the lease agreement)

Thank you for your help!

If you have approved study permit, you don’t need to show proof of lease when entering. You can show address.

Well technically I don't have the study permit yet, I have the port of entry letter and I was told that the border control offices issue me the study permit. Is there a chance they would not accept me just providing an address?

But you have been approved so will get upon entry. CBSA isn’t expecting you to have a signed lease. Provide an address.
