ARV Use - H1B Stamp expired on Passport but have a valid I-94 / 797

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone recently traveled to Canada / Toronto in past few months where there 797 is approved but their H1B stamp on the passport is expired? Do we need any documents other than the 797 and employment letter?

I need to travel to Canada to complete my PR landing formalities, and I was thinking of traveling for right under 30 days. 29 days to be precise.

I booked a visa appointment date at the US Embassy however its much later in 2023.

PLEASE let me know. My attorney says I can but I just want to see if anyone on this group has recently done this. THANK YOU!!!!

Yes, many people have been doing this. You can stay till 28th day and return on 29th day. you can also do it on 30th but just be careful with the timings. I have done similar to this back in 2020.
