ARTIST HOPING TO BECOME LEGAL IN USA

Hi there

Im an artist been living in USA illegally for almost 20 yrs. Was married to an American for almost the entire time.
We looked into citizenship for me however his IRS issues were bad, and we got terrible legal advice instructing us to not file.
So we didn't.
We separated & just recently divorced.Been w my boyfriend for the last 8 years.
I am wandering if I can become legal based on sponsorship from a company, which I can get.
Or do I have to remarry?
