Hi,
this forum is great thank you all for your help!!!!

I wonder if I book a flight to canada and I would have a change the plane for example in calgary to fly to vancouver ... and I only have 1 hour and 30 minutes time to change the plane - how does it work to get the stamp first in calgary or in vancouver??? and is there enough time to change planes if the border officer want to ask me more questions?

thanks!

You would get the stamp in Calgary. A hour and a half may be enough - but it's cutting it a bit close since you'll have to also retrieve your luggage and pass through customs. It would be better to have at least 2 hours between flights (if not longer).

thanks but it must be possible right why would they have those flights than? if I can not get the connection flight?!

Because not everyone is connecting from the first flight you are taking to the second flight. It's possible you may be the only person doing so. It's also not the airlines responsibility to ensure you have enough time on the ground to change flights. This is your responsibility.

Again, you should be OK with an hour and a half. If things take longer, the airline will put you on the next flight departing (assuming you are flying on the same ticket / same airline for your entire journey).

I was in a very similar situation. The same airports and 1:40 between the flights (I had my landing interview in Calgary so it was even more nerve wracking). I caught my Vancouver flight 10 minutes before the takeoff. A friend of mine (Canadian citizen) who was flying with me but had no interview reached the plane just 5 minutes before me. I should also mention that we both had to run through the airport. So, from my experience, 1:30 in Calgary may not be enough - and it's not a large airport.
