Dear Seniors / Friends

I submitted my docs to ISL office in mar 2010 as i fall under pre june 2010 category and my case has been shifted to London in June 2010 nd since then as you all must be aware is complete silence.

The thing is that i have been searching for jobs in Canada and i have some hopes from the company but they will only give me the Job offer letter (valid for certain time ) as they are not willing to give anything from their end for Embassy however they will verify if the embassy approaches them...

I just want help and clarity from you guys for the following:

1. what is the procedure to take this further ?? I heard i have to take approval from some HRSD department
2. This arranged employment would help me to process my case early ?? or i will get the work permit only
3. Also the JD's of Job offer and current job is 70 percent match not 100 %

Please help me out :)

Best Regards

No help ?? seniors please respond if any idea on the issue

Hi,

1. AEO has to be filled by the employer and will take approx 6 months or more to be approved by HRSDC. The employer does all the paper work but you may want to assist them with the research on how to get AEO....it is a very long drawn process.

http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poarremp.shtml

2.No, it will not process your PR application early. But you can land in Canada early with a Work permit and begin your Canadian experience. As and when you receive the AEO, you will have to inform your VO.

3. It's good, but immaterial for your PR application.

Thanks mitali for the link it is really usefull... however have concern and need some clarity for the bold text below

HRSDC reviews the application and if appropriate, provides you with an AEO letter of confirmation supporting the job. Please be aware that a positive HRSDC AEO letter only supports the Skilled Worker's application for permanent residency, but does not allow for the person to work in Canada. There is another process if you plan to employ the person and, at the same time, support their permanent immigration to Canada.

Yes, that is true....with an AEO you can not land and begin working for your employer. The offer of job will be valid only AFTER you get your PR status in Canada.

But if you have a work Permit (as I mentioned in my earlier post) from the employer then you may land and begin working. Getting a WP is again a long drawn process which includes a mandatory (unless you are from LMO exempt countries/profession) requirement of LMO approved from HRSDC.
