Areas Vancouver

Hi all, since i am travelling to Vancouver(sabbatical) next June i am curious to know which district/part of Vancouver is the most practical to live in regarding commuting to work.

Altough i am searching for a job now, i assume that i will only find one once i have arrived in Vancouver. So i am searching for a place from which a have the most reach to possible job locations within a timely manner. Given the nature of my visit, the type of job can vary widely.

Downtown Vancouver especially if you work in the CBD!

It is easy to commute in Vancouver because of the skytrain and buses, so I would say anywhere in Vancouver/Burnaby area.
Living in Vancouver is more expensive though than anywhere in GVA.
Most offices are in downtown but it depends what is you field of work.
