I have recieved the email our application is being processed note in Mississauga. We already gave our police check and medical test. We sent the package Nov 9th and I was told I was approved for sponsorship Jan 3rd. What's left to do? It seems we have finished everything. Any idea how much longer of a wait?

Is just the beginning of the game. Expect another 3-6 months of processing time.

I'd say somewhere between 3-10 months of waiting, depending on your visa office, as you're only 2 1/2 months in the process. Some cases in some visa offices take 4-6 months total, others over a year.

Finished everything? You still have security checks, background checks, relationship review, general applicant eligibility etc.

You can request your GCMS notes to see what has been started, though there probably won't be much to see so early in the process.

You are at the same point as me. I have been waiting 10 months. Just to give you an idea..
